Baloon Safari at Maasai Mara and Serengeti

Home to the largest migration of mammals in the world, the Serengeti stretches from Tanzania into the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. A hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti guarantees numerous animal sightings in any season. In addition to the more than two million wildebeest, gazelle and zebra that pass through the region during the Great Migration, there are lions, hippos, giraffes, elephants and other big game animals in abundance as well. The best balloon operators use low-noise burners that allow the balloons to float over wildlife undetected.

A game Camp at Sarova Mara

Also located in the Maasai Mara, Sarova Mara Game Camp offers front seats to a great wildlife spectacle. The rolling plains around the Camp are teeming with wildebeest, gazelles and zebras, during the Great Migration months and the Camp is situated right in the center of their migration path. Sarova Mara Game Camp is also a great choice for those seeking a richer experience of Maasai Mara that goes much beyond just game drives. Activities and experiences range from luxury tented living to bird-watching, mini golf, sport fishing and a unique insight into the Maasai culture at the nearby Maasai village.

Focus on Tourism in Kenya

Famous for its classic savanna safaris, Kenya is a country of dramatic extremes and classic contrasts. Deserts and alpine snows; forests and open plains; the metropolis of Nairobi and colorful tribal cultures; freshwater lakes and coral reefs. For many people, Kenya is East Africa in microcosm. The wildlife safaris have been the top tourist attractions in Kenya for decades while other activities include trekking Mount Kenya, ballooning over the Masai Mara and snorkeling in Malindi on the Indian Ocean coast.
